Mission: The Adams Public Library System serves all people of the Decatur and Geneva communities by acquiring, organizing, and providing access and guidance to a wide variety of information and materials to help fulfill the intellectual, educational, social, and recreational needs of this community in an atmosphere that is welcoming, respectful, and businesslike. Located in Decatur and Geneva.
Product and services include reference services, interlibrary loan, laminating, Story Times, computer and Internet services, computer workshops, local history and genealogical collections, meeting room use, travel and sick kid kits, general interest programs. Services for businesses and organizations include Business Library Card, meeting room space, business Go Center collection, reference services, skills development classes both online and in person. Collections include over 120,000 volumes, over 150 magazines and newspaper subscriptions, art prints, DVD's, audio-books, music CDs, and downloadable books, videos, audio-books and music. Audio-visual equipment is also available upon request.
The library provides many resources for the good of the community from reference resources, computer and Internet use, meeting room use, literacy help for adults, pre-literacy skills development, crafting workshops, story times and more.
The library, rated as Exceptional by the Indiana State Library based on Indiana public library standards, continues to provide quality services enhancing the quality of life and educational services in Adams County.
